Saturday, March 10: Kim and Patrick Duff

Mark 5:1-20. As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him. But Jesus refused, and said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy he has shown you.” And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

This story illustrates to us the compassion and power of Jesus. He is compassionate to a man with an unclean spirit that has been isolated and tormented. Jesus heals him. We look to God every day to help guide us and heal us. He will always be there for us when all seems lost or we feel as if the world has turned its back on us. If we have faith, we too can be healed.
